The above photograph is of The Birches by Lake Namakagon in Northern Wisconsin. The photo is from the late 1920’s- early 1930’s.

The Birches existed from about the 1920’s until about the 1990’s. At this time it was a ‘one-stop shop’ all rolled into one for groceries, gasoline and even included Wisconsin supper club with white tail deer viewing area. Out of town owners couldn’t get there fast enough while heading up to their getaway vacation homes on the weekends. There was a very nostalgic feeling there. After The Birches, this location was named Chicago Bob’s and then Screamin’ Steve’s. Unfortunately, the original nostalgia The Birch’s once had, was lost over time. The ultimate goal is to bring the original nostalgia of The Birches back to life, while maintaining the same country feel it once had but also keeping up with the demands of 2018 and beyond!
